MFA: Belarus will respond to EU economic sanctions soon

Belarus will take measures in response to the EU economic sanctions soon, reads a statement of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on its website, BelTA has learned.

"Belarus is not going to tolerate it. In the coming weeks, the retaliatory measures, about which we have repeatedly talked, will be gradually put into effect," the ministry said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that it is high time for European politicians to understand that pressure and sanctions are not the language to speak to Belarus. "At the same time, we remain open for equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation with those who see Belarus as a partner, not an object for geopolitical ambitions and experiments," the ministry added.
