In the 2006-2007 academic year the regional education system had 16 secondary and eight basic schools, a school for orphans, a sanatorium school, seven preschool facilities, a regional center of after-school activities, a regional education center for children with disabilities, a social orphanage and a sports school.

Senno and Bogushevsk schools have classes with profound study of various subjects.

In line with the “Gifted and Talented Students” program regional schools have been organizing subject Olympiads, music and arts contests, sports competitions.
