According to the statistics department, as of January 1, 2006 the population of the Senno region was 29.2 thousand people. Urban population was 11.3 thousand, rural population – 17.9 thousand. People in prime working years made up 16.2 thousand.

According to the 199 census, the Belarusians accounted for 93.7%, Russians – 2.4%, Ukrainians – 1.8%, other ethnicities – 2.1%.
