Visa-free spectators of Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk promised prompt police registration

Foreign guests, who will come to see the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk thanks to the visa-free travel program, will be able to get registered with citizenship and migration offices of Belarusian police fast, BelTA learned from Chief of the Vitebsk Oblast Police Department Mikhail Grib.

About 300,000 people from CIS and non-CIS states are expected to visit this year’s Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk. Police is ready for the arrival of visa-free travelers on 1-20 July. “Citizenship and migration officers will be placed in every police station in Vitebsk during the festival. Foreign citizens and guests will be able to get registered fast,” Mikhail Grib noted.

The Citizenship and Migration Office of the Vitebsk Oblast Police Department offers a hotline +375 (0212) 60-34-81 for inquiries about the visa-free travel program during business hours.

As of today more police personnel have been deployed in the city. Officers from other parts of the country will be able to help the Vitebsk Oblast Police Department for the duration of the festival. They will help enable access control in the Summer Amphitheater and the concert hall Vitebsk in addition to beefing up patrols in the city’s downtown.

In order to allow spectators to enter festival venues as fast as possible, police will use x-ray baggage scanners, which proved to be effective during the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019. More entrances into the Summer Amphitheater will be opened for the sake of faster access. Special entrances will be opened for mothers with small kids, pregnant women, veterans, and people with disabilities.
